Each seat gives one member Pro's features while they're in the team, and the team gets its own page at exclusively.me/yourteam. Where the free month is on offer, a new team starts with a month free for up to 5 seats, and nothing is charged until it ends. ## Before you start - Your own exclusively.me account, on any plan. You'll be the team's **owner**: the one person who holds the bill. - The name you want the team to go by, and the address you want for its page. - Prices for seats are on the [pricing page](/pricing), under the Teams tab. ## The steps ::: step Find Start a team In your dashboard, open **My Connections**, then the **Teams** tab. **Start a team** is on the right, beside any invitations and teams you're already in. (Once you're in a team, it's also at the bottom of the menu under your name, top left.) ::: *Screen: My Connections, Teams: Start a team on the right.* ::: step Name the team and claim its address Type the **Team name** members will see on their invitations, and the **Team address**. We check the address as you type; it belongs to the team, so it never changes, even if the team changes owner. Press **Create team**. ::: *Screen: Start a team: the team's name and its address, then Create team.* ::: step Choose your seats Next, in Team HQ under **Settings**, then **Team plan**, choose how many **Pro seats** to buy (at least 5) and **Monthly** or **Annual** billing; annual gives you a month free. We work out the cheapest mix of single seats and blocks for you, and the total shows beside it before you pay. ::: *Screen: Team plan before the team pays: Pro seats, Monthly or Annual, and the button to check out.* ::: step Start your free month, or check out If your team qualifies for the free month, the button says **Start your free month** and the total says nothing is due today. The free month covers up to 5 seats, once per person; going above 5 ends it that day and billing starts. You can cancel during the month and keep the rest of it, with nothing charged. Otherwise the button says **Go to checkout**, and you pay through Stripe. ::: ::: step Switch between your account and your team Your own account and your team are separate places. Click your name at the top left of your dashboard (**exclusively.me/yourname ▾**) and a menu opens: **Your account** first, then each team you're in, with your role (*Team HQ · owner*), then **Start a team**. Pick the team to open Team HQ. In Team HQ the team's name sits in the same place, and its menu takes you back to your own account. ::: *Screen: The menu under your name: your own account, your team and Start a team.* ::: step Follow the setup checklist Back on **Overview**, the **Team setup** card lists what's left: Groups, Team page, and, with the Media Centre, Brand, Base house, Sponsors and Media kit roles. Each one links to where it's done, and the card goes away once everything is. ::: *Screen: Overview's Team setup card, with Groups and Team page done and the Media Centre still to do.* ## Check it worked Your team's address, exclusively.me/ and the address you chose, opens the team's page, and the seat count shows at the top right of Team HQ. ## If something's different ### The button says Go to checkout, not Start your free month The free month is once per person, for up to 5 seats, and only while it's on offer. With more than 5 seats, or a free month already used, the team starts paid. ### You don't have an account yet The **Try Teams FREE today** buttons on our site open a sign-up form that asks for your team's name and address as well as your own, and creates both together. You go straight to choosing your seats. ### Can someone else pay? The owner pays. You can hand the team to an active admin later, in Team HQ under Settings, and they take over the bill. ### Do members who already have Pro need a seat? No. Someone who already pays for their own Pro can join without using one. ## Do it with your AI Billing and team settings aren't offered to an AI, so start the team yourself.
