What your team can see, and how to change it
You're in a team guide 2 of 3 Next: Write this weekend's posts with your AI
A team always sees that you're a member and which of its groups you're in. Everything else is your choice, one switch each, on your Teams tab: your statistics, managing your pages, your email address, appearing to your teammates, and appearing in the team's media kit. Change them whenever you like, and leave whenever you like: your account and page stay yours.
Before you start
- You're in a team (Join a team).
The steps
Open your Teams tab
In your dashboard, open My Connections, then Teams. Each team you're in has a card: your status, your seat and your groups, then Team can.
Switch each one on or off
- See my statistics: your views and clicks, for as long as you're a member.
- Manage my pages: admins can edit your pages; every change is recorded.
- See my email address: admins can copy it for the team's own emails. We send no team messages.
- Show me to my teammates: your name and picture in the member list, so teammates can ask to connect.
- Show me in the team's media kit: if the team asks; your name, picture, page address and role.
The Team can switches on a team card. Know which ones are required
A team can make some of these a condition of being in it, and marks them required. You can still switch one off, but it tells you first that doing so means leaving the team.
Leave a team
Press Leave team on the team's card and confirm. Your account, your page and everything on it stay as they are, and your seat goes back to the team. You can be invited again later.
Check it worked
Each switch shows its new position straight away. An admin opening your analytics or email sees not shared when it's off.
If something's different
A switch says Parent controlled
You're under 18, so your parent or guardian decides some of these. Use Ask my parent on the card to ask them to change it.
I switched off something required and left by mistake
Ask the team to invite you again, then choose again when you accept.
Can the team see my date of birth?
No. A team sees an age group for members under 18, never a date of birth.
Why it's worth it
You stay in charge of your own page and your own numbers, and you decide how much to share with each team, whatever it is: a club, a sponsor's squad or your employer.
